Seth Thomas "Adamantine" Mantel Clock
Item Details
An antique Seth Thomas mantel clock. The clock is made of a richly striated, polished wood, featuring simple, classic lines, with a peaked top, and straight sides. The clock dial is ivory colored, with black Arabic numerals and hands. The dial is marked ‘Seth Thomas – Manufactured in the United States of America’. There is a hinged glass cover on the front of the dial to allow access to the clock keyholes. A wood panel on the back has a simple latch to open it, to access the clock workings. The clock was in working condition at time of cataloging, and it comes with the original key. The instructions for the clock are on a label pasted to the inside of the back panel. The label is marked with the number ‘296 C’. The back of the clock works is marked ‘Made in U.S. America’.
