Eugène Leliepvre Military Uniform Prints
Item Details
A collection of seven framed lithographs depicting equestrian soldiers in uniform. They are all hand-colored with watercolors and are titled to the bottom left or right corners. They are all marked to the bottom left edge ‘La Gravure Francaise’, some with a number in the lower right corner. They are all hand-signed by Eugène Leliepvre (1908 – 2013) to the lower margin area. Included is Jer Empire Dragons De La Garde, 2er Empire Lanciers Polnais De La Garde (No. 4), Independance Americaine Amerique 3rd Continental Dragoons, Independance Americaine ‘Jersey Blues’ Amerique 1777 (I. No 7), Angleterre Royal Highlanders – 42th ‘Black Watch’ Waterloo – 18 – 6 – 1815 (No 101), France Grenadiers A Pied. Garde Imperiale Waterloo – 18 – 6 – 1815 (No 100), and Angleterre 1815 2e Dragons ‘Scots Greys’ (No 23). All come with identical narrow wood frames, with glass, and are ready to hang.
