Item Details
A large 1950s ‘City Of Cincinnati’ cloth flag or banner. This municipal flag was designed in 1895. The flag was officially adopted on June 15, 1940, and is rectangular in shape with a white foreground. The seal of the city is constructed of blue with a cluster of red buckeyes at the top. The blue waves in the flag represent the Ohio River. The winged rod stands for commerce, serpents for wisdom, scales for justice, and sword for authority and power. The Latin motto on the banner ‘Juncta Juvant’ is derived from the Latin phrase ‘Utilty Assists.’ There are metal grommet holes for mounting purposes.Condition
Pre-owned and used. Some staining, discoloration, with edge and surface wear. Presentable with good coloring.
