"Improved Bristol" Converted Antique Brass Oil Lamp

An antique brass and glass oil lamp, which has been converted to electricity. The lamp features an ornate cast brass or brass tone metal base, with a brass top and shade bracket fittings. The brass collar is marked ‘Improved Bristol – Pat. July 15 ’90’. The lamp takes a single standard bulb. A clear glass hurricane shade fits over the top of the light bulb, and a second round opaque glass shade goes over the top of it. The body of the lamp, and the glass shade, are made of opaque yellow glass, with hand-painted white waterlilies. The lamp retains its vintage cloth cord with Bakelite switch. This lamp is in working order.

- vintage cloth cord has some loose thread or fraying; may benefit from being replaced
