Collection of Three Vintage Dolls with Glass Eyes
Item Details
A collection of three vintage dolls with glass eyes. Included is a seventeen-inch male butler or groom doll with a porcelain face, marked ‘Made in Germany’ to his back. The other male doll is unmarked. He has a hand-painted porcelain face and hands, brown glass eyes, and a stuffed kid leather body with jointed legs at the thighs. The smallest porcelain doll has a china body with hand-painted socks and black shoes. She wears a gown with a train and a pearl necklace. The back of her head is marked ‘20S 6’, and is also marked ‘Made in Germany’ to her back.
Condition
- all have light surface marks throughout; some soil to clothing or bodies
- butler doll does not have a full set of teeth and is missing one shoe; may be missing other accessories
- smallest doll is missing wig; clothing is stained and frayed; necklace is broken; marks to body
