A limited edition abstract embossed etching by Brazilian artist and printmaker Arthur Luiz Piza (b.1928). This etching depicts a large embossed curvilinear abstract shape to the center made of blue gree lines and surrounded by small raised blue green ovals and rectangles all on a gray washed ground. It is numbered TI/XX to the lower right and signed to the lower left, both in pencil and below the image. The work is presented in a silver tone metal frame, cream mat, and under plexiglass. Piza is best known for pushing the limitations of printmaking by discovering new ways to add dimension and texture through his etching and aquatint techniques.
Condition
Plexiglass has a crack over the image.
