Item Details
A limited edition aquatint by American artist and printmaker Ruth Ettling (b. 1910) titled River Plant. The abstract image shows the various buildings, towers and stacks of a chemical plant sitting on a river bank with the river in the foreground. The background is a hazy grey. The aquatint shading portrays the grayness of the day and the surroundings but also captures the bright lighting in areas of the plant. The print is signed and dated 1969 in pencil in the lower right margin, is numbered 3/12 in the center, and is titled in the lower left. It is presented in a textured mat, black painted wood frame, and under glass.
