A limited edition etching on paper titled Pointer en Pleine by Léon Danchin (French; 1887 – 1938). This print depicts two English Pointers with black markings in a field. The are portrayed in the dogs signature pose ‘pointing’ towards something in the field. This piece is numbered 265 out of an edition of 500 to the lower right and signed in graphite to the lower left. Housed behind glass in a black wooden frame.

Leon Danchin was born in France and studied sculpture at L’Ecole des Beaux Art in Paris. At the age of sixteen, he was accepted by the Salon des Artists. While he focused in sculpture Danchin also created drawings, watercolor and oil paintings, as well as etchings. He primarily focuses on country scenes with sporting dogs.
