Zyaee Persian Wood Inlay Artwork

Item Details

An original artwork signed Zyaee in Farsi. This piece is made of inlaid wood with a resin finish. It depicts a landscape/mythic scene in which a phoenix-like bird hovers as it calls to or prepares to dive at a second bird, which is perched on the live branch of a flowering tree; with dead stumps, the tree appears to be very old. The palette is black, shades of brown, and gray. It is signed on the reverse and includes two sawtooth brackets for hanging.

Condition

- to fair; there is damage to wood and resin to top left corner, two cracks to resin across entire piece near top, long crack to lower left corner, other small cracks and abrasions to resin coating.
