Item Details
An oil painting on board of a house. This painting depicts a lone, ranch-style house in the countryside seen from a frontal perspective against a cloudy sky. An artist signature appearing to read ‘W. E. Abbs’, alongside a date (1888) are seen to the lower right corner of the composition. The painting is presented in a gold tone wooden frame featuring moulded leaf and palmette patterning to the surface. To the verso is affixed hanging wire and a sawtooth bracket.

- painting would merit from a cleaning; frame is lightly marked and chipped throughout; dust and smearing to frame verso; frame verso chipped.
