A Flemish pyrography wood plaque of horses by Rud Smitt. Depicted are the busts of three horses rendered within a leaf scrollwork border. The piece is signed to the lower right. To the verso, the board is inscribed with the date ‘December 25th, 1908’, a stamp that reads ‘Flemish 880 Art’, and a quality seal.

Condition

- dents present to the edges of the piece; scratches are present to the lower portion of the composition; water stains are present to the bottom of the board on the verso; two nail size holes are present to the verso.
