Blue and White Chinese Porcelain Flower Pot and Brush Pot
Item Details
A blue and white Chinese porcelain flower pot and brush pot. The flower pot is cartouche-like in form. Painted on the front of the pot a small child catching butterflies and on the reverse is Chinese calligraphy. The brush pot is orb like in shape. and decorated with three handpainted crayfish and Chinese calligraphy. The underside is marked ‘Jiangxi Porcelain Company’ (江西瓷業公司 Jiangxi ci ye gongsi), a Jingdezhen porcelain producer during the Republic period (1912-1949).
