An oil painting on canvas board by artist Thomas Jefferson Willison (1864-1940). This piece depicts a hilly landscape framed by autumnal trees in the foreground. The work is signed to the lower left corner. Presented without glass, housed in a brushed golden tone frame. There is an informational Cincinnati Art Galleries label affixed to the verso.

Born in Kentucky and active in Ohio, Willison was known for his impressionistic landscapes often depicting the Miami and Ohio River Valleys. He studied at the Cincinnati Art Academy with renowned Cincinnati-based artist Frank Duveneck.
