A varnished oil painting on unstretched canvas titled River Foreground II attributed to listed artist Lewis Henry Meakin (British/American, 1850 – 1917). This piece depicts a body of water bordered by a grass-covered cliff with a distant red-roofed village to the background. This painting is unsigned and remains unframed as an unstretched canvas.

- relined on canvas; perforations and tear along canvas perimeter from previous stretching; restoration patch present to the verso; minor paint loss to borders and along bent marks situated to the center of the composition.
