An original watercolor painting on paper of a butterfly. This painting depicts a regal fritillary butterfly, Speyeria idalia, displayed from above with its yellow, black and blue patterned wings spread. The piece is signed ‘Carolyn’ in the lower right and is presented under glass in a metal frame with a hanging wire. ‘Regal Fritillary’ is hand-marked in graphite to the verso, and a label on the verso reads ‘Village Art Club.’
