1953 Douglas MacFarlan Map of the Historic Main LIne of Pennsylvania

A 1953 map by Douglas MacFarlan (1886-1960) of The Historic Main Line. This map depicts the Main Line and is surrounded with historical landmarks that are in this area such as ‘Old Saint David’s Church’, ‘The King of Prussia Tavern’, ‘The Warner Mansion’, and ‘Radnor Meeting House’. Douglas MacFarlan was an ear, nose, and throat specialist, an expert on the history of southeastern Pennsylvania, president of the Lower Merion Historical Society from 1954-60, and wrote numerous articles on history and medicine. This piece is presented in a brown metal frame, under glass, with wire to the verso for hanging.
