Milton Hebald Bronze Sculpture "David and Goliath"

A bronze sculpture titled David and Goliath by Milton Hebald (1917-2015). This cast bronze work depicts 1 Samuel 17:48-51 in the Hebrew Bible utilizing fluid lines with abstract details as David raises Goliath’s sword to deliver the final blow to a fallen Goliath. The piece is signed by the artist in mold to the reverse of Goliath’s shield and dates to 1968-1969. The work includes a plaque to the front of the base reading “Milton Hebald” and a label reading “Milton Hebald” is affixed to the underside of the base. It is presented on a wood block base. This sculpture was commissioned in limited numbers by the Jewish Reform Appeal as presentation pieces.
