A Russian beginners chess set. This chess set features a wooden board with black and light brown squares which are labeled vertically with numerals and horizontally with lowercase letters A – H. The chess pieces are comprised of carved wood with painted white circulars along its base. The board doubles as a storage compartment with silver tone closures.
