1950s Globe of the Earth

A 1950s globe of the Earth. This blue and tan collagraph-printed globe is labeled with country and city names as well as features such as major ocean currents and the plane of the ecliptic; the globe is mounted in a metal ring globe mount with latitude markings and has a rotating time zone disk over the North Pole. The geopolitical labels on this globe date it to between circa 1951 and 1956.

- general wear and markings; some cracking to globe surface; writing on underside of base.
