Reproduction Colada Sword With Swept Hilt

Item Details

A sword. This piece is modeled after the mythological sword Colada which is in the ancient Spanish poem Cantar de Mio Cid and features a coiling swept hilt that is part of the crossguard which is synonymous with the sword of legend. The blade is made from metal and features and etched pattern in the shape of a medieval tapestry featuring a family crest and the helmet of a knight; which links to the story in the poem of the Colada being bestowed by El Cid to one of his knights. There is no maker’s mark present on this piece.

- light surface wear; light staining and possible residue on the blade of the sword.
