A reproduction oil painting on canvas of Niagra Falls after the original 1857 work by Fredric Edwin Church (1826 – 1900). This landscape work depicts a view of the iconic falls from Canada with mist and a faint rainbow settling just above the basin. The piece is signed ‘J. Mooney’ by the artist to the lower right corner. It is presented in a gold tone wood frame with wire to the verso ready to hang.
Condition
- two tears, one fairly large at upper left above waterfall and smaller in the waterfall; a few patches present; chips to edges and corners of frame; fold along top of canvas.
