Vintage Piedmont Folding Advertising Chair With Porcelain Back

A vintage, circa 1930s, Piedmont folding advertising chair with a porcelain, double-sided back. The advertisement reads, ‘For Cigarettes / Virginia Tobacco is the Best / Piedmont / The Virginia Cigarette’ in crisp white lettering against a deep blue surface. The chair is marked ‘Piedmont Cigarettes’ along the rear stiles in cursive lettering.

Condition

- to fair; crack to the crest rail; loose seat slats; may have some screws or nails missing; the “Piedmont Cigarettes” script on the stiles has been redone at some point in a similar style as the original.
