A hand-knotted Persian area rug. The rug features a central medallion in a palette of navy blue, mauve, cream, and pink that sits on top of a deep indigo field. style wool rug designed with stylized floral patterns throughout. The field is populated with floral palmettes and arabesque linework with a spandrel to each corner and is enclosed within a compound resolved border. The border features a floral guard border with a primary border featuring a herati pattern with a natural fringe to either end and is unmarked.
