After Maurice Millière Offset Lithograph of Folies-Bergère Poster

An offset lithograph after an original poster by the French artist Maurice Millière (1871–1946), advertising the famous Parisian music hall Folies-Bergères. This work features a performer dressed as a clown accompanied by some circus animals, including a bird, monkey, and dog. ‘Folies-Bergères’ is printed diagonally in the lower right area of the picture plan. The artist’s in-plate signature is present to the lower right. The print is presented under glass in a gold-tone wood frame with a low-relief pattern and off-white matting.
