Item Details

A mid to late 19th century fall front secretary desk. The mixed wood case features a rectangular top above a fall-front writing surface opening to a fitted desk interior with pigeonholes, dividers, shelves, and drawers. The writing surface extends over a projecting, rectangular top with molded edges and cut corners. Directly below is a dovetailed frieze drawer and the desk rises on scrolled uprights joined by a central, pierced stretcher. The drawer fronts are fitted with white, porcelain knobs.
