Carman Bonanno Drypoint Etching "Washington Square"
Item Details
A drypoint etching by Carman Bonanno, titled Washington Square. This print on paper depicts the Washington Square Arch, which frames a mother and child walking by with a stroller and a cityscape to the background. An in plate facsimile initial, reading ‘CB’ is seen to the lower right corner of the composition, while a graphite artist signature is found to the lower margins. The print is presented under a single-layered mat in a stained wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- frame has a piece chipped to right leg; scratches to frame surface; artwork loose in frame; backing has some foxing; paper of artwork is acid burned. (ARTIAS)
