A circa 1904 offset lithograph on paper after Helen Allingham’s 1887 watercolor painting The Fish-Shop, Haslemere. The image, which depicts an ivy-covered country house with two girls speaking to a woman in the doorway, is taken from the book Happy England as Painted by Helen Allingham, R. W. S. (London: Adam and Charles Black, 1903), printed by the Hentschel Colourtype Company using a then-cutting-edge three-color offset lithograph process. The illustration is presented matted under glass in a wooden frame with a hanging wire.
