1953 Walt Disney's "Peter Pan" Original Lobby Cards

A collection of four original theater lobby cards from the release of Walt Disney’s 1953 film Peter Pan. This collection features three matted cards: two cards with scenes from the film, captioned ‘Captain Hook’s pirate ship, turned to gold by the magic of ‘pixie-dust,’ takes to the sky with Peter Pan at the helm’ and ‘Perilous journey – the Redmen and their captives, the Lost Boys, return to the Indian encampment in Never Land’; and one card with an ensemble image, captioned ‘Peter Pan presents a whole array of wonderful new Disney characters, who will live in your heart forever.’ The collection also includes an additional 1953 lobby card with an image of Peter Pan and scenes from the film, captioned ‘Walt Disney’s all Cartoon Feature; Peter Pan; RKO Palace; Starts Wed. Feb. 18.’ Also included is a small cardboard standee with the poster art used for the 1989 rerelease of the film.

- three matted on cardboard and sealed under plastic; some scratches and minor tears visible in pirate ship and cast cards; stain at right edge of pirate ship card; foxing to card in frame; wear to frame; frame backing not securely attached; wear to bottom edge of standee.
