An antique hand knotted Persian Khorasan area rug. The rug has a highly decorated field with repeating palmette and floral motifs over a carmine red field. The decorative designs are knotted in various shades of blue, peach, saffron, tan, and more. The field is surrounded by alternation meandering palmette borders with ivory and blue-black grounds respectively.

Wear pattern significant along center margin of rug; wear to fringe ends consistent with age and normal usage.
