Cast Iron Produce Wagon Figure
Item Details
A cast-iron figure. This piece is in the form of a nineteenth-century produce wagon and features a rider guiding the two tugging horses as well as cloth produce bags with wax and celluloid fruits and vegetables that are rendered in lifelike detail. The figure is composed of many different pieces that are detachable and rearrangeable; with peg holes specifically made for the rider and produce umbrella. A maker’s tag is present on the underside of the carriage which labels Taiwan as the nation of origin.

- surface wear consistent with age and use; gold tone chain is broken.
