A vintage chinoiserie credenza by John Widdicomb. This rectangular top piece has a black finish and gold tone landscape details. It features four cabinet doors with brass tone, drop handles opening to four aligned drawers over storage compartments. It rises on shaped, bracket feet. Two of the sliding drawers feature silverware storage compartments with felt linings and fabric covers labeled ‘John Widdicomb Co.’ This piece is also marked to the interior side of a drawer. The gold tone detail depicts several floral scenes, winged animals, and additional Asian-inspired images.
