A Japanese watercolor and ink on paper of a Noh performer as Seiōbo (Xiwangmu), Queen Mother of the West (西王母). Depicted is a figure wearing a mask and ornately embellished clothing with a depiction of a bird. The woman holds a fan, flowers, and peaches with outstretched arms. The piece is signed ‘Gyokusei’ (玉瀞) alongside the title Seiōbo (西王母). It is presented behind acrylic glass in gold-tone silk mat within a gold tone wooden frame.
