A hand knotted Persian Heriz Serapi area rug. The rug displays a crenelated navy blue lozenge shaped medallion over an ivory colored field. The medallion is decorated with a central scarlet and butter colored central motif and purling vine work. The field is encircled by an unresolved turtle border in shades of scarlet, navy, powder blue, and forest green. The piece is finished with a short cotton warp fringe at ends.
