Victorian Transfer Printed Slop Bucket

A late Victorian slop bucket circa 1890-1910. This white pot is adorned with a red floral transfer print and mercury gilded accents. The vessel was used for the collection of kitchen scraps and their transport to the hogs for feeding. Jars of this type have also been used for waste water. The covered jar has rope molded handles.

Condition

- lid missing part of the handle one, one of the side handles has previously been repaired, chip on the inside of the lip of the rim, and crazing appears throughout.
