Hand Knotted Bokhara Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Bokhara area rug in pale pink/camel. This finely knotted tribal rug features a central row of four diamond-shaped guls flanked by partial guls of a different design on either side. The partial guls are bisected by thin guard strips, which are repeated across multiple borders. The rug has diamond-lattice panels at either end and unresolved borders that include a primary border of alternating hooked guls. The palette is pale pink, camel, black, and pale blue. Unmarked, the rug finishes in ivory fringe at either end.
Condition
- the rug has significant discoloration/fading and dust; it could benefit from cleaning.
