Painted Porcelain Ballet Figurine With Applied Gilt

Item Details

A painted porcelain figure group. This depicts a pair of ballet dancers, dressed as in a masquerade, the woman with a white tutu and embellished bodice, and the man with a long set of swan feather wings. Both are wearing half-masks and feature hand applied gilding on the black and white clothing. They are presented staggered in an open first arabesque upon a square copper tone base. No discernible maker’s mark was found.

- broken mask and flowers on female ballerina.
