Gorham "Washington Irving" Silver Plate Flatware Set For Twelve

A set of silver plate flatware by the Gorham Manufacturing Co. of Providence, RI. These are in the Washington Irving pattern, that features bordered scalloped coffin handles. The set of seventy-nine pieces includes twelve dinner knives, twelve dinner forks, twelve salad forks, thirteen dinner spoons, and twenty-four teaspoon. The serving pieces include a ladle, a pierced serving spoon, a master butter knife, a serving spoon, a berry spoon, and a cold meat fork. Each is marked on the back ‘Gorham’, the E[anchor]P mark, and ‘Korea’. The set is presented in a silvercloth lined wooden storage case, with a hinged top compartment, a lower drawer, and brass handles.
Condition
- to fair; minor markings throughout; flatware box shows wear at edges and one brass tone pull is loose.
