A 1944 Disney war bond certificate. This offset lithograph certificate features a color border with images of twenty-two Disney characters, including Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, the Seven Dwarfs, José Carioca and more. The certificate reads ‘United States Treasury; War Finance Committee; Know All Men By These Presents: This is to certify that _____ is the owner of a War Bond, thereby becoming an investor in this country’s fight for human liberty and a contributor in a world struggle to make life free and forever peaceful for all men.’ The bottom left corner of the illustration is marked ‘©Walt Disney’ and the bottom right corner of the print is marked ‘Homer H. Boelter; L. A.; 9-12-44; 500M.’
