Lithographic Reproduction of Landscape Etching after Corot

A lithographic reproduction after a landscape etching by renowned French master, Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot (1796 – 1875). The image depicts a man reading under the canopies of tall, mature trees in a woodland area in the midst of a rural countryside. Artist signature is printed backwards in plate to the lower left. This print is numbered 21 in an edition of 500 in pencil by an unknown hand to the lower right margin, mounted under double mat, behind glass in a beveled wood frame with a distressed silver and gold tone finish. A label to the verso contains additional information about the piece.

Condition

- notable accretion and discoloration to print and mats. Major accretion on glass and frame. Finish of frame is damaged with chips and cracks throughout.
