A hardcover copy of La Civilité Puérile et Honnête expliquée par l’Oncle Eugène, written by Eugène Plon (French, 1836–1895) and illustrated by Louis-Maurice Boutet de Monvel (French, 1851–1913), published by E. Plon, Nourrit et Cie., Paris, France, circa 1887. This children’s etiquette book has chapters discussing demeanor, behavior, social situations, dining, and sleeping, and is illustrated with colored wood engravings throughout. The cut pages are section sewn into a brown hardcover with black lettering and a colored illustration on the front.
