A hand-knotted Afshar style area rug. The rug features three pole medallions down the center in a palette of taupe, indigo, burnt orange, and cream that sit on top of a burnt orange field. The field is populated by geometric guls and eight pointed stars, and Dyrnak style guls that lead to the compound border. The border features more abstract elements throughout in a palette that matches the central medallions with a short, wool fringe to either end. The rug is not marked.
