A Caucasian style hand-knotted wool area rug. The rug features three rectangular medallions in cream and red on a navy blue field, with an intricate geometric and floral motif. The guard border has eight-pointed star motifs interspersed with hooked gul forms, flanked by vining floral secondary borders. The rug is finished with overcast selvage edges and cream warp fringe to opposite ends. Unmarked.
