A hand-knotted Caucasian area rug. This rug features a geometric central medallion in mainly black, light blue, red, and cream colors. The medallion lies on a burnt orange backdrop in a crenellated frame inside of a cream backdrop. A colorful, stylized samovar border appears on a black ground color. Short white, knotted fringe appears on either end. There are no labels or maker’s marks present.
