A hand-knotted Tabriz area rug. This rug features a central black pictorial motif bordered by a floral wreath inside of a red geometric medallion on a cream backdrop. Floral motifs fill the cream colored center as an arabesque pattern fills a black border. A second border with a red ground color is ornamented in floral motifs. Off-white fringe appears to either end of the rug. A label is attached to the rug and is marked, ‘Genuine Hand Woven Oriental Rug.’
