Item Details
An original oil painting on canvas board signed to the lower left by artist Caroline M. Ball, created during the first half of the 20th century. The image depicts a winter landscape in the rural countryside; a clearing at the edge of deep woods is host to a large, frozen pond, the terrain blanketed in thick snow. The painting is mounted in a beveled wood frame with a distressed white finish and a hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- discoloration to pigments of painting, consistent with age. Accretion on painting and frame. Finish of frame is lightly worn.
