Vintage Nicodemus Ferro-stone Nativity
Item Details
A vintage Nicodemus Ferro-stone nativity set. The set features nine pieces including Mary with baby Jesus, Joseph, two angels, three wise men, a cow, and a star made from high-iron content Ohio clay and covered with a translucent blue green glaze. Marked ‘Nicodemus’ and many have the original sticker. Chester Nicodemus (1901-1990) was a potter based in Clintonville, Ohio and former dean of Columbus Art College now known as Columbus College of Art and Design.
