A hand-knotted wool Hamadan village accent rug featuring a central pendant medallion in tones of yellow, gray and beige on a russet red field. The center field is framed by a compound herati border with lobed flowers and lancet leaf motifs, continuing to the narrow secondary borders. The rug is finished with machine bound selvage edges, securing stitching to warp ends and short cotton warp fringe to opposite ends. Unmarked.

Condition

- with abrash and fading. There is damage and unraveling to selvage. Would benefit from cleaning.
