A hand-painted Chinese decorative folding screen. This small-scale screen features a gouache painting on collaged silver-toned paper, depicting a small bird pausing for a moment amongst wildflowers and underbrush, watching the wind comb through the air. Artist seal and additional inscriptions occupy lower left corner. The painting is mounted within a silk brocade with a foliate motif. The screen is presented folded, and easily unfolds.
