Hand-Knotted Persian Kashan Area Rug

Item Details

A hand-knotted Persian area rug attributed to the Kashan, Iran region.It features a scalloped lozenge field with a central medallion and pendants along with potted vases and floral garlands. There are repeating motifs to the spandrels in the corners. Surrounding the field, there is a red border with palmettes. No labels to indicate a manufacturer.

Condition

- some wear to the fringe as well as a stain to the fringe only.
