Boehm Ballerinas "Giselle" and "Swan Lake"

A pair of limited issue porcelain ballerina figures by Boehm. Included is a Giselle figure and a Swan Lake figure. Each delicate bisque porcelain figure is marked by maker to underside. Boehm Porcelain was started by Edward Marshall Boehm (1913-1969), an American sculptor most known for the porcelain birds and wildlife sculptures he created, promoted by his equally well-known spouse, Helen Boehm. Together, the two founded E.M. Boehm Studios. Works created in the studio are in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the studio is known for its fine and elegant sculptural work owned by museums, royalty and celebrities worldwide.
